Meant to have a “!?” at the end of the name, as I’m not 100% sure that’s him…

It’s not Talather, unless he’s dressed up funny or a ‘shifter himself – he’s white and this bird is coloured, and he’s a raven and this is some sort of raptor, look at the beak from the side in panel 5. Since they usually have PLENTY of sense I think it’s Kip being… Kipish. Diving in without thinking and now helping Ranon have a really bad day along with everyone else…

Oh Kip, why do you do such crazy things? At least the messenger doesn’t have his arrow anymore and it just looks like Kip crash-landed.

After the dork elf just went on his tirade before I’m not at all surprised. ;-)

Mind you I like Nashua (Elf, pointy ears, what’s not to like?) but he was just being a big dork before. :-D

:| He tells him to ‘call it back’ then doesn’t even give him a chance to do that when Nashua starts to speak.

By ‘companion’ he means Morphus companion – in which case Nashua wouldn’t have had to speak out loud to call back the bird, and the morphus probably would have responded to the mental order near-instantly. Either way, if it’s diving at his face he probably figures it’s a bit late for giving it the benefit of the doubt..

I think this plan goes up there with “Let’s strangle the magic lady” and “Let’s rub on the furry thing and hope it’s Varony”
