…poor Nashua doesn’t sound too good… Hope Kip can turn into something large enough to carry a slightly broken elf around. I vote for a bear!!

Aaaahh noooo not the f-word! I am nigh immune to romantic heartpulling in stories but now there’s friendships being thrown around, AND attempts at stupid, stupod self sacrifice, and I am getting all teary at the same time I would like to be hitting Nash with a kettle if he weren’t already so banged up.
It really would be stupid, Nash! The bad guys of vagueness would just use you as hostage bait, and what not!

Somehow, I don’t think that Kip and Varony are going to leave Nashua behind.

See, that’s the problem. The self-sacrifice idea is, I mean. Observe: If you tell them to get out and leave you, they won’t. If they do, you’ll only be used as a hostage. Or bait. And you know what I’ve noticed about fishing? The bait hardly ever gets out alive. (unless you’re fishing for big fish with little fish, and it gets off the line or something.)

And defeatist talk does absolutely NOTHING for morale! ~hauls out psych textbook~ It’s elementary, my dear Nashua! ~rants~ But still. Pragmatist as I may be, you can’t just give up. I mean, Kip got out and Varony’s almost free. And not weird claustrophobic beastie anymore, I might add. Don’t give up! ~falls over~

Come on, Nashua! Ka Nuu is dead, and nobody can bring him back…well, there’s Necromancy but we don’t want zombie deer running around…but you can make his killers pay deerly for his murder!
