Jeez, in what universe is it a good idea for a bird to attack a sharp-jawed, spined land creature over twice it size?

Birds’ bones are hollow, too. That slam will prbably break at least one arm, and very possibly much more.

a) she’s Kip, fearless to the point of stupidity and with only a vgery basic ‘being an owl’ kit in her head and

b) I guess she can change into something else if she thinks of it? Something a little more… bouncy?

Now’s your chance Kip! Turn into a bear and rip that guy apart!

Maybe she should have picked a Haast’s Eagle instead of an owl… or some other forest-eagle… before trying to go after that thing.

Ah, but then again, those owls sure have wonderfully silent flight…which becomes a moot point if you’re going to go diving in screeching at a target… haha…

Haast’s Eagle! Those suckers would be able to pick up Var in his real form with little effort
